Zerobarriere social cooperative, in collaboration with the A.s.d. Otrè Triathlon Team and the Puglia Committee of the Italian Triathlon Federation, organises the fourth edition of “Bari Zerobarriere” from the 15th to the 18th of September 2022.
The event is a well-structured set of para-triathlon sports competitions, to raise awareness of inclusiveness and promote the area.
The main location will be “Pane e Pomodoro” town beach which for two days will host the “Puglia ZeroBarriere” village, P0B, where local federations and associations will promote their Paralympic sports activities to make them known to citizens, in particular to school students in Bari. Children will discover and practice paralympic sports, becoming themselves active promotors of inclusion.
For the competitive part are scheduled two races. For the first time in Italy will take place the Europe Triathlon Para Cup with the sponsorship of the World Triathlon Federation and the endorsement of the F.I.Tri. and of the C.I.P.
52 athletes from all over the world will compete to qualify for the Paris 2024 Paralympics. The final of the Italian paratriathlon circuit will follow, with the participation of about 40 athletes from every region of Italy.
The organizing committee will make the city’s sports facilities available to the athletes the days before the competitions to train. On those days, info points will be activated with information on the event (also in English).
The day before the competitions, at the P0B village, will be hosted a welcome party with food and wine excellence of our territory. Afterwards, it will be possible to join free tours with specialised guides (on reservation) in the historic centre of Bari, on fully accessible routes.
